Amy M. Dayries, DMD
Amy M. Dayries, D.M.D. loves getting to know her patients and values establishing a long term professional relationship with them. She strives to appreciate each individual’s needs and dreams, and she understands that elements and compounds compatible for one patient may aggravate sensitivities or allergies in another patient. Dr. Dayries is passionate about smile design, health, and nutrition, and prefers to take a natural, holistic or biologic (Integrative) approach to care when possible. She loves how dentistry is a melding of art, science, form and function. Patient health and satisfaction is her utmost goal. Appreciating and educating about the overall health of her patients is a large part of helping a patient obtain their most radiant, aesthetic smile.
Her own personal experiences with lead and mercury poisoning toxicity and experiences raising school aged children who needed to focus better, sparked Dr. Dayries’ passion for nutritional counseling and the herbal arts. Dr. Dayries often recommends natural alternatives and homeopathic solutions to the oral and systemic health problems of her patients. She is SMART certified by the IAMOT, meaning that she follows an established protocol to reduce exposure to patients, staff and the environment when she removes amalgam fillings. She is a member of: The Northern District Dental Society, Georgia Dental Association, American Dental Association, Alpharetta/Norcross Study Club, Hinman Dental Association, International Association of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT), Holistic Dental Association, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and American Association of Cosmetic Dentists.
Dr. Dayries is a native of Atlanta, Georgia and she always wanted to be a dentist! She graduated from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 1996, and then came home where she has practiced dentistry ever since. More recently, Dr. Dayries has studied herbal medicine under the guidance of notable author and past director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona, Dr. Tierona Low Dog, M.D.
Currently when not at the office, Dr. Dayries is in her final weeks of completing a 2 year Fellowship in Integrative Medicine with the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine (AIHM) and is completing final Accreditation with IAOMT.
